Engineering after Biology - The hidden race of engineers

Disclaimer: This is not a technical post. This blog speaks about the male students who choose to do engineering after schooling. This blog is a complete exception to the students who pre-plan their destiny and have the resource to have a secular future.

It is not a crime to choose engineering after your schooling. On a larger scale, the choice has several perspectives as a backup profession, the simplest course to find a college or even an option to avoid studying computer science. The gender of the students also has a major role to play in their choice of career. However, I would like to take a ride into the mindset of the boys who choose to do engineering after picking biology as his area of interest.

Speaking about the mindset of such students, it is a riddle that can be solved only by moving with the flow. It would be fair to say that most of the students who choose engineering fall under the same category, except for their academic background. Imagine someone throwing you into a pit and cementing it forever. It is no different from joining an engineering college unless you have the will to survive.

But the most important period of their life would be the period between the day of results and AU counseling. If you magnify that time span, you could find the most ridiculous incidents that could happen to a human being.

Undoubtedly, it starts from a rich relative uncle who knows nothing about professional studies advising you to avoid engineering studies and choose a supplementary course in the medical field. Next would be your parent's colleague who doesn't even know the spelling of engineering calling you and hurting your eardrum over the phone.

It does not end there. This is the moment where the external factors will get their turn. All the educational companies (institutions) will announce their offers and discounts to drag students into them just like a black hole. This would grow your dilemma further and you would start to lose confidence in yourself. Just when you think that everything is done, our Government will give the perfect twist by announcing a new entrance exam for all professional course admission.

Before the boys could even think of an alternate option, their parents would start visiting all the colleges and enquire about the courses that they offer. The fact is that they eventually end up inducting their child into a reputed university if they could afford, or wait for the AU to announce the date of counseling. Not to deny that they will attend the entrances too.

By the time they could realize their purpose and eventually develop their knowledge in the specified branch, half the curriculum would be done and dusted with several arrears lining behind them. Their trouble extends further in the form of a lack of infrastructure and fraudster management. Their inspirations seem to fade, and there never comes a passionate professional out of the so-called group of institutions.

If you wonder if such people even exist, you fall under the parent's colleague category. If you are aware of such happenings, or even a victim of circumstances, question yourself.
What did you do to create awareness about the current educational system among your social successors?. If you complain about the quality of engineers produced, please make sure that you are aware of the financial and mental barriers that they go through at such a young age.
