What is RRB NTPC? :

The Indian Railways (IR) conducts the RRB NTPC  (Non-technical popular categories), a national-level examination to recruit aspirants for the railways once a year. It comprises two categories as the Graduate and the Undergraduate posts.

Eligibility:

You need to be at least 18 and below 30 years of age with a minimum pass mark in the Higher secondary to attend the examination of the Undergraduate posts. For graduate posts, you need a degree from a recognized university. 

Subject-wise preparation:

The selection process of the RRB NTPC examination comprises four stages that include two stages of Computer Based Test (CBT-1 and CBT-2), typing skill or Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), followed by document and medical verification. 

The subjects covered in the examination include General Awareness, Mathematics, and General intelligence with reasoning capability. It is noteworthy that each of these subjects requires a distinct approach to crack the puzzle. 

Start with the basics. Once you are strong with the basics, look for easier ways of solving the problems which could save you a few precious moments.

For the General awareness section, the keyword to success is “UPDATE”. Beware of the happenings around you by inculcating the habit of reading newspapers and GK blogs.

General preparation:

Whenever you prepare for a competitive exam, make sure that you know its ins and outs. Frequent revision and taking up mock tests should be a part of your routine.
